The surroundings of our hotel
Right outside the door: on the right-hand side as soon as you step out onto the street, you will see the Hohe Brücke, an exceptional art nouveau bridge designed by Josef Hackhofer, who established art nouveau in Vienna - a style that characterized the city. If you continue, you will come to the Gothic church Maria am Gestade.
To the left outside of the hotel is the Kunstforum with impressive exhibits ranging from classical modernism to the avant-garde of the post-war era. During various seasons, the Freyung offers markets with original foods from all over Austria. Speaking of food: Palais Ferstel offers an array of mouth-watering delicacies. Right behind our hotel is the Judenplatz square with the Holocaust Memorial.
