Boutique Hotel Das Tigra Accessibility Statement
Introduction
Boutique Hotel Das Tigra strives to make its website and the online booking engine accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We follow the European Accessibility Act (EAA), the Austrian implementation of accessibility regulations, as well as the international standards WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, and EN 301 549.
This statement describes how accessible our digital services are, which parts are not yet fully accessible, and how you can report accessibility issues to us.
Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.hotel-tigra.at and the integrated online booking journey (Booking Platform).
Compliance status
The website and the online booking system of Boutique Hotel Das Tigra are currently partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, and the standard EN 301 549. Some areas still require improvement, which will be addressed step by step as part of ongoing updates.
Online booking system (Bookassist Booking Platform)
Our hotel uses the latest Bookassist Booking Platform (BP). According to the provider, it was designed from the outset with digital accessibility in mind, uses modern navigation and structural principles, is compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies, and is continuously being improved in order to meet WCAG 2.1 AA criteria as comprehensively as possible.
Measures to improve the accessibility of our website
To improve the accessibility of our website we are implementing, in particular, the following measures:
- Gradual completion and optimization of alternative texts (ALT texts) for room, hotel and facility images;
- Avoiding text embedded in images and providing text as real HTML text instead;
- Checking and optimizing colour contrasts and font sizes, especially for headings and call-to-action elements;
- Using clear, understandable language and structured texts, especially for room and rate descriptions;
- Regular technical checks (e.g. using Lighthouse, WAVE and other testing tools);
- Ongoing coordination with our technology partner to further enhance accessibility.
Content not accessible
Despite our efforts, the following restrictions may currently still exist:
- Some images may still have incomplete or missing ALT texts;
- Older content or documents (e.g. PDFs) may not yet be fully WCAG compliant;
- In individual cases, contrasts, focus visibility or keyboard navigation may not yet be implemented optimally in all areas.
We are working to reduce these limitations gradually as part of content and technical updates.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on the basis of internal reviews and the technical documentation of our technology partner.
Date of this statement: January 2025
