At the tender age of 6 years old, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had already played his 1st concert in Vienna, and together with his father and sister, he lived in the hotel "Das Tigra" from mid-October to December 1762! Since our beautiful house was not yet a hotel, this actually meant that the Mozart family lived with Gottlieb Friedrich Fischer in the historic part of our hotel, which dates back to the 16th century. During this time, the boyish Mozart also played his legendary concert in front of Empress Maria Theresia. This enthusiastically applauded performance established his reputation throughout Europe as a musical child prodigy.
In summer 1773, 17-year old Mozart resided at Tiefer Graven 18 on the occasion of his 3rd visit to Vienna and once again slept where you will sleep if you choose to stay at our hotel!
